Air Partner creates 'highest airborne gig in the sky'
|

Recently, I read a very interesting article on the 'Air Partner' website. They specialize in corporate air charter, and have an enviable reputation for their impressive range of services.
They have been working in conjunction with James Blunt to set a new world record for the 'highest airborne gig'. This was a total success and is now a 'Guinness World Record' and was subsequently broadcast on the radio.
James Blunt, along with a backing guitarist performed a twenty-minute gig to a 150-strong airbourne audience. One of the songs he performed was a track from his rather aptly named album 'High'.
The chartered Boeing 767, which flew at 42,000 feet, had been fitted with bespoke headrests to accommodate the acoustic equipment.
Whilst this could be a potential entertainment idea for other airlines, it is not something that we are likely to see. It takes a specialist provider like Air Partner to make this kind of thing happen.
Whilst clearly aimed at the corporate event and travel market, it does prove that, in the right hands, almost anything is possible with air travel.

AS you say I can't imagine it ever happening but it would be a lovely if it did.

This sounds great for corporate events. It would be too big for our company but I could certainly see the logic.

My boss went on one of their flights with a client that was taking staff and equipment to Spain. He said that it was great, really good service and, well, like a private jet !!
