It would seem that use of laser pens are on the increase as mentioned in my previous article ‘A New form of Attack’
A man appeared in court on Tuesday accused of trying to dazzle pilots with a laser beam as they were landing at France’s second –busiest airport Orly, Paris.
Aviation authorities said that “several pilots complained and the man was arrested near the runway as a result”.
Airport security officials were very quick off the mark when three pilots including crew of Air France and Easy Jet Flights warned the control tower what was taking place. They in turn alerted the police and as a result the man was caught in the act and arrested.
On this occasion a spokesman for Air France said the pilot was never in any difficulty as a result of this incident but there is a general consensus that these incidents are becoming more frequent and seemingly more serious.

This is quiet alarming. where do they get these pens from in the first place?

You can buy those pens at markets and places like that, dodgy arcades and so on. And on the internet I imagine! I wonder whether the guy thought he was a proper terrorist or was just being an idiot. It's worrying either way.
