It can be hard to read Ryanair’s outspoken CEO Michael O'Leary. There is more than a suspicion that he says and does things knowing that they will create waves whilst subscribing to the ‘no such thing as bad publicity’ school of thought.
The series of advertisements that questioned the veracity of easyJet’s punctuality figures and inadvertently portrayed easyJet founder Sir Stellios as a Pinocchio figure may just be a case in point.
The ensuing libel action is due to be heard at the High Court later this summer. One assumes that the press will be invited.

Ryanair's Easyjet bashing along with the charge for airplane loos proposal is certain to generate negative press, this could backfire badly for them! | |
