Goodwood Hotel creates an ambience of style and good old fashioned English values.

In the heart of Sussex on the Goodwood Estate is the The Goodwood Hotel. The estate itself has been the home of the Dukes of Richmond for more than three centuries.
The whole Goodwood ethos seems to centre on providing that true English experience, be it The Festival of Speed or Goodwood Revival, two wonderful events which celebrate motor racing past and present. What better way to follow on from one of these events than by staying in the opulent and stylish Hotel.
This weekend we attended the Goodwood Revival an event written about in my previous article Step back in time with Goodwood Revival. It was, as always a thoroughly well organized event and by the time we left there, with our feet barely attached to our legs anymore, we were more than ready to go back to the ever welcoming comfort of the hotel.
From arriving to a warm and friendly welcome from the staff, we were ushered to our fabulous room. Attention to detail was ever present, comfort and stylish interior design envelop this hotel.
After taking advantage of the complimentary delights from Molton Brown in our bathroom, we then departed to The Kennels for dinner, which is incorporated within the Goodwood Estate, and one used exclusively by members (which luckily Graham my partner is one of!) However, guests staying overnight at the Goodwood Hotel can dine at the Kennels too. After a superb meal and good wine we returned to the hotel for port and coffee at the Richmond Arms. This sophisticated bar has a traditional feel to it and combines good friendly hospitality with relaxing comfy sofas to lounge on, and the inglenook fireplace is obviously an inviting feature during the cold winter months. With that we retired to our room. After a good night’s sleep we were treated to a hearty Sussex breakfast. The restaurant uses organic produce straight from their farm on the estate. The rest of the produce is sourced locally.
We could of then gone onto use the State-of-the-art health club and stylish indoor swimming pool, but chose instead to indulge in a couple of treatments in The Waterbeach Spa. Again, attention to detail was ever present, and the staff were friendly and professional.
Goodwood hotel incorporates style friendly staff and good old fashioned English values and is a place we shall return to again and again.

We were at the Goodwood Revival, it was a fantastic day, all the fashions on display were wonderful, it is a really happy event with so much to see. I think I will check out the hotel next time, as it was very tiring and it would have been good to stay over.

The revival was a brilliant event, we have been going since it started 13 years ago, it has improved every year and they strive to make it better every year. The hotel is a fantastic place to end the day, and it is amazing who may be in the restaurant too, often a stray racing driver.

I attended the revival and to had a fantastic time. I tried to book into the hotel but left it to late and it was fully booked so will make sure that I book well in advance for next year, obviously a very popular choice!

This Hotel is fantastic, we met up with some of our friends whilst staying in Sussex last Christmas. The food in the Richmond Arms was delicious. We did not stay but it will be on our 'to visit' list next time.

We enjoyed this hotel very much, when we joined some friends after the Festival of Speed for some supper, would love to stay there. It was great to see the likes of Sir Stirling Moss on a table near us.

I love this hotel and the event and have visited it several times over the last few years. Everything about the hotel is spot on, from the lovely warm welcome you receive to the fantastic rooms. The staff are always attentive without being intrusive and I would highly recommend it.
