Another success story out of Manchester airport
|
flights.co.uk - News Desk Thursday 8 September 2011 |
Bournemouth Airport is becoming one of the fastest growing airports in the UK. It links the southeast of England to more than 60 destinations.
Following its £50 million transformation, with brand new arrivals and departures terminal buildings, its capacity has increased from one million passengers to potentially three million passengers per year.
With its business parks and general aviation areas, it generates something around £24 million annually for the region.
This is another success for the company that runs Manchester and East Midlands airports and really needs to be watched. If they can do it, what on earth is wrong with BAA. Why do we have to put up with the ongoing problems at Heathrow and Stanstead?

Departure terminal fine. Arrival hall the worst I have experienced, the previous shed was better at least it was close!! Why didn't they incorporate it with the main terminal? God help the passengers when it rains.

Pleased to see that Rip off Britain is alive & well at Bournemouth airport. What a lovely start to your holiday to have to pay £2.50 for 2 min parking. If other local airports can manage it why can't Bournemouth, has it anything to do with a large expensive extension to the airport & airlines reducing their flights? Also no proper pavements for those that decide to walk into the airport.
